Fans and players of rugby will benefit from an agreement today signed by a local financial institution and
the region's local supporter's club.
The Greater Building Society will continue to support the work of The Hawthorne Club. The Greater has
been a sponsor of the Hawthorne Club for the past five years.
Club Chairman Steve Garrett thanked the team at the Greater for its support of local Rugby.
"Without the support of The Greater and other club and corporate partners we could not be as effective
in supporting this great game locally," Mr Garrett said.
The Hawthorne Club injects about $70,000 into talent development and the local Rugby competition
The Greater's Head of Strategic Development, Chris Hodgins, said that The Greater was pleased to
extend its support to the Hawthorn Club.
"The Hawthorne Club is an important local institution doing a great job behind the scenes to support the
development of grass roots rugby to benefit the many local people who play or enjoy the game," Mr
