Investing in Hunter Rugby

How we help

Since its inception The Hawthorne Club has provided more than $850,000 in funds for the support of Rugby and its participants.

In 2012, the Hawthorne Club introduced the Hawthorne Club Rugby Support Program. The program builds upon its ongoing commitment to support local Ruby and aims to increase Rugby activities for Juniors, increase Club support and further work with Australian Rugby Union and the Hunter Academy of Sport.

The Hawthorne Club supports community Rugby through many successful pathways:

- Premier Rugby;

- Through The Hawthorne Cup and Premiership Winner Sponsorship;

- Development Programs;

- For referees and coaches throughout the Hunter;

- Hawthorne Academy 7's;

- Talent program;

- NHRU Wildfires Senior and Colts;

- Representative teams development;

- NHRU Women's Rugby - 7’s and representative development program;

- John Hipwell Medal – NHRU First Grade Grand Final Player of the Match;
