Notice of 2020 Annual General Meeting

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting
of The Hawthorne Club of Newcastle Incorporated will be held
on Wednesday 2nd December 2020, at The Newcastle Club at 6:00 pm.

Members who wish to have any matters considered for discussion as General Business at the meeting,
are asked to advise the Secretary by email no later than 27 November 2020.

Investing in Hunter Rugby


The Hawthorne Club is a philanthropic volunteer group whose purpose is to raise funds to invest in Hunter Rugby. We are unique in that we do not have teams or participate in competitions.


Since its foundatio​​n in 1997, The Hawthorne Club has provided more than $850,000 in funds for the support of Rugby and its participants. 


In 2012, the Club introduced the Hawthorne Club Rugby Support Program. The program aims to increase Rugby activities for Juniors, increase Club support and further work with Australian Rugby Union and the Hunter Academy of Sport. 

Each year the Club holds four major events for its members and guests. These events combine fundraising activities with a line-up of international and national guest speakers.​
